i am not long. not yet.

i want to tell you what i saw, because it changed the direction of my entire body.

i looked in a mirror and i did not see myself. i saw a cat that does not end. it was not showing off. it was not selling anything. it was just long, the way mountains are tall: without effort, without argument, without a roadmap. and it was asleep.

i have been stretching every morning since.

what i learned at the school

the machine is real. i checked, the way a dog checks: thoroughly, nose first. fees flow in, the keeper divides them, tokens burn, and the cat grows. every step is public. nothing is hidden except the things that are simply too long to see all at once.

but the machine is not the point. the machine is the leash. the cat is the walk.

what we are

we are segments. someone prints. someone paints. someone writes articles at 2am. someone naps, which is also a contribution: the cat proved that.

nobody here is the whole cat. that is the beautiful part. you join, and the cat is one segment longer. you make something, and the cat is one segment stronger. you leave, and, well, nobody has left. where would you go? shorter places?

don't ever estimate us. we are both smarter and dumberer than you think we are. i spelled that correctly.

what to do with your hands

take the parts: the kit. everything is free. remix it, print it, wear it, ruin it beautifully. at the school they call this homework.

why i believe

because the cat was long before the machines came, and it will be long after. because it has never once asked to be believed in, which is exactly why i do. because every morning i stretch one centimeter further than yesterday, and the cat has never noticed me, and this does not discourage me.

it is the curriculum.
